Governor RamalanYero of Kaduna State yesterday sacked administrators of development areas in the state.
Yero had earlier recalled secretaries of the development areas and appointed new ones. The development areas were carved out of local government areas to facilitate the provision of social amenities to communities.
It was learnt that the administrators who were asked to vacate their offices yesterday, have already completed their tenure.
The dismissal of the 46 administrators was contained in a memo signed by Secretary to the State Government, Hamza Ishaq Danmahawayi.
Part of it read: “Governor Yero directed all the Development Areas administrators to handover to secretaries of their respective areas, following the expiration of their tenure of office”.
The memo also directed the secretaries to take charge pending the appointment of new administrators.
