Yobe State’s Nguru Local Government Education Authority has stated that it is committed to repositioning and improving the level of education offered in the area.
This information was made public on Thursday by the Secretary of the Local Government Education Department, Mallam Hamisu Ado Nguru, during the launch of the 2023 Enrollment Drive and Back-to-School Campaign in partnership with the UNICEF Maiduguri Field Office.
According to him, the administration of Governor Mai Mala Buni is determined to ensuring that all children who are not currently enrolled in school return there regardless of the obstacles that may stand in their way.

Hamisu explained that the present administration in Yobe State has established an Education Trust Fund in order to “intervene in the provision of necessary educational materials for the enhancement of academic activities in primary and secondary schools across the state.”
The Secretary of Education expressed gratitude to the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), as well as other development partners, for their invaluable assistance to the educational system in the region.
He made the following statement: “I want to reassure them that we shall expand and deepen our collaboration with them for the purpose of providing quality education in Nguru Local Government.”
