An emergency official in Nigeria says over 30 people were killed in a blast at Jimeta Market, Yola, Adamawa State.

“Some whose injuries were not severe were discharged,” he added.

The blast happened at about 7:40 pm when traders and buyers were leaving the market.

Although Islamist sect Boko Haram has not claimed responsibity for the attack, the militant grroup is believed to be responsible.
