Ex-BBNaija housemate, Vee has come out to weigh in on the importance of self-acceptance. She recently had her say via her social media page, and fans have been reacting.
According to her, the reality is that a lot of people hate the way they look, and they always want to project that feeling onto others on social media.
Vee added that you can’t say you are confident and then turn to surgery to alter your appearance.
Her words, “A lot of people hate the way they look, and they want to project that feeling onto you. Please don’t let them. I saw a post that Vicky James made on her Instagram. I need you to understand that there is nothing wrong with the way you look.
We are in an era where people want to change everything about themselves just because they don’t like it. And I genuinely feel like that is not normal. You are free to change your appearance, but I feel like we need to start being honest about that kind of lifestyle. You can’t say you are confident and then change everything about yourself. The reality of those things is that age will always defeat you. It’s common knowledge.
Now, one thing I’ve always said about myself is that I have no interest in changing the way I look. I am a straight-bodied girl. I don’t have hips. I don’t have curves. I don’t have a big bum. My top half is bigger than my bottom half. And it’s something I have Learned to accept over time. Was it difficult? Yes. But I always say your self awareness is something that nobody can take away from you.
I feel like I’m perfect the way I am. And I hope and pray there is someone that’s watching this and they believe they’re perfect the way they are, too…You’re perfect the way you are. Go outside without makeup. Take that filter off. At the end of the day when you step outside, we all gonna see how you look in real life. Sorry. So if you like, put the face app down. Put the face app down. Thank you.”
WOW.

The first season of the show first aired on DStv Channel 37 from March 5 to June 4, 2006. In a twist to the game, two new contestants were introduced on Day 23, much to the excitement of the remaining housemates.
Ebuka, the most popular housemate for several weeks into the show and widely believed to emerge the winner was the seventh housemate to be evicted; many viewers blame the Joe’s Fan Club (JFC) for his eviction. Joe himself was soon evicted from the show.
Big Brother added another twist to the game on day 79 by cancelling the day’s scheduled nominations and making the housemates believe they will instead be evicted based on their performances on assigned tasks while in reality no more evictions were held and viewers began voting for the winner who turned out to be 26-year-old Katung Aduwak.
