Zamfara State Governor, Dauda Lawal, has declared his confidence and readiness for the upcoming governorship rerun election, stating that he approaches the contest with full assurance of victory.
The Governor conveyed this sentiment during an address to his enthusiastic supporters at the State’s PDP secretariat in Gusau upon his return from a foreign trip.
Governor Lawal expressed optimism, saying, “Even if the election is held a hundred times, there is no doubt that I will run away with a landslide victory.”

He thanked the court for its ruling and affirmed his preparedness to engage with the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in his home constituency.
Asserting his conviction that Allah had destined him to be the Governor of Zamfara State, Lawal assured that this would persist, regardless of the actions of opposition APC members or others he referred to as hypocrites.
Governor Lawal highlighted the achievements of his administration, including the payment of all civil servant entitlements, settling outstanding WAEC and NECO fees, addressing water scarcity, and initiating the construction of township roads in Gusau, the state capital. He also declared a state of emergency in the education sector, pledging to rescue the state from potential disintegration.
Despite facing criticism, Governor Lawal remained resolute, stating, “They are not comfortable with our numerous achievements within the shortest possible time.” As the rerun election approaches, Lawal’s confidence appears unwavering as he positions himself for continued governance in Zamfara State.
