On the Zamfara killings, the House directed security agencies in the country to “fish out the perpetrators of the dastardly act and bring them to justice to serve as deterrence to others.”

It also directed the National Emergency Management Agency, NEMA, to deliver relief materials to the distressed citizens of the affected villages, just as it resolved “to send a committee to sympathise, see first-hand, the damage done and report back to the House.”

Gusau in his motion said that the said killings in Zamfara were carried out by “suspected Fulani herdsmen” who “operated freely for about four hours, shooting at children, traders, vigilante, community leaders and clerics. [Vanguard]
