The Zamfara State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has expressed heartfelt sympathy over the recent motor accident involving members of the Zamfara State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) along the Abuja-Kaduna Expressway.
The journalists were returning to Zamfara State after attending the Triennial Delegates Conference in Imo State when the accident occurred.
In a statement issued by the State PDP Publicity Secretary, Comrade Haliru Andi, and made available to journalists in Gusau, the State capital, the party’s chairman, Dr. Jamil Jibo Magayaki, conveyed the shock and concern of the PDP State Working Committee (SWC) over the incident.
“The entire PDP State Working Committee was terribly shocked by the sad news of the accident. We sympathize with both the national and Zamfara State Councils of the NUJ over this unfortunate incident,” the statement read.
Magayaki thanked Allah that no lives were lost in the accident and urged the victims to consider the incident as an act of divine will.
He prayed for the speedy recovery of those injured and called for divine protection against future occurrences of such incidents.
“Our prayers are with the victims, and we ask Allah to grant them quick recovery and safeguard all travelers from similar tragedies,” Magayaki added.
