The spokesman of former Governor Abdul Aziz Yari’s All Progressives Congress (APC) faction, Hon. Ibrahim Danmadami Birinin Magaji, has said that the ruling of the Federal High Court in Gusau, the Zamfara State capital, will not stop them from heading to the Court of Appeal in Sokoto State.
Addressing newsmen shortly after the judgment, Magaji appealed to the faction’s supporters, saying that the case has just begun.
According to him, the judgment that dismissed the suit it instituted challenging the dissolution of its executives by the National Caretaker Committee of the party must come to a reasonable conclusion.
Also reacting to the judgment, the Chairman of the faction, Hon. Lawal M Liman Ƙaura, said they are more determined to pursue the case to its logical conclusion because of their strong conviction that justice will only be delayed rather than denied.
Kaura said that though they are not surprised with the judgment because the outcome was already pronounced by Senator Ahmad Sani Yariman Bakura through his recent press interviews, it will not discourage his committee from appealing the judgment.
The Chairman maintained that if an internal squabble in the party could cost it the colossal loss it incurred in the 2019 elections in the Supreme Court, then there is still hope of light at the end of the tunnel.
He commended the efforts, contributions and resilience of the leader of the party, former Governor Abdulaziz Yari, party leaders at the state, local government and ward levels, stakeholders, party members and sympathizers.
The chairman noted that to keep the party vibrant as an outlet that will see to the continued well-being of the people of Zamfara State, justice must prevail, assuring the supporters that the struggle will continue unabated until success is achieved.
