The presidential primary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to select the party’s presidential candidate or flag bearer for the 2023 general elections has just been concluded.

The race was not easy as 12 aspirants jostle for the 767 delegate votes across the 36 states of Nigeria.
As shown in the number of votes ranked below, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar emerges the party’s candidate for the 2023 presidential election, while the Governor of Rivers State, Nyesom Wike, follows. Atiku leads with 371 Votes while Wike follows with 237 votes.

- Udom Emmanuel: 38
- Bala Muhammed: 20
- Pius Anyim: 14
- Sam Ohabunwa: 1
- Olivia Tariela: 1
12 Votes voided, and Olivia Tariela is the only woman in the race.
