Activist and politician Aisha Yesufu has described the 2027 general election as a decisive battle for the future of Nigeria.
Yesufu made the remark in a post on the social media platform X, where she urged Nigerians not to remain passive ahead of the next electoral cycle.
According to the activist, Nigerians would be fighting for their lives and the soul of the country during the election.

“Let me repeat, 2027 election is WAR! Nigerians are fighting for their lives and the soul of Nigeria,” she wrote.
She called on citizens to actively participate in shaping the country’s future rather than acting as bystanders.
“This is not the time to be a bystander; the more incidents, the more likely we become victims,” she said.
Yesufu warned that those who fail to take action could eventually become victims of the same challenges affecting others.
“Yesterday’s victims were once survivors, today’s victims were yesterday’s survivors and tomorrow’s victims will be today’s survivors. Who is next?” she asked.
The activist also urged Nigerians to stand on the side of truth and justice regardless of the consequences.
“The truth will always set you free. No matter what you do, ensure you perch on the side of truth and justice,” she said.
She added that although taking such a position might not attract widespread approval, it would provide peace of mind and the confidence to defend one’s stance publicly.
