Leader of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has dismissed reports claiming he predicted that President Bola Tinubu would lose the 2027 presidential election.
Ayodele said his earlier comments had been misrepresented and taken out of context, insisting that he never declared that Tinubu would be defeated at the polls.

In a statement issued through his media office, the cleric explained that his previous remarks were intended as warnings and advice to the President rather than a prophecy of electoral defeat.
He maintained that he only highlighted issues and individuals that could affect Tinubu’s chances in the next general election if they were not properly addressed.
According to Ayodele, political actors and social media users distorted his comments to suit their interests, creating the false impression that he had predicted the President’s loss in 2027.
He urged Nigerians to verify his prophecies through his official communication channels instead of relying on distorted reports circulating online.
The cleric also appealed to the media and members of the public to avoid attributing statements to him that he did not make, stressing that accurate reporting is essential to preventing misinformation.
