The Nigerian National Petroleum corporation (NNPC) has warned motorists against engaging in panic buying of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS).
The NNPC has assured memby of the public of normalcy in the supply of petroleum products.
The Group General Manager, Group Public Affairs Division, Mr Obateru, who disclosed this in Abuja on Monday added that the long queues currently being experienced were due to the curfew imposed by the government in some states due to the EndSARS protests.
According to Mr Obateru the curfew affected the free movement of vehicles for the supply of PMS,, he however guaranteed normalcy in few days time.
In his words, Mr Obateru disclosed that, the curtailment of free flow of vehicular movement orchestrated by the EndSARS protests, the imposed curfews, restrictions and destruction of public properties, affect the supply of motor spirits.
He therefore noted that normalcy is expected to return to the petroleum products supply chain very soon.
Members of the public are therefore urged not to panic, as supply will soon return to the entire country.
