The three days fidda’u prayer for late Capt. Yusuf Sabo Sambo, the immediate younger brother of Vice President Arc Mohammed Namadi Sambo was held Wednesday, at the Late Capt. Sambo’s residence, Wuse II, Abuja.
Late Capt. Sambo died last Sunday in an auto accident along the Bill Clinton Drive, Airport Road, Abuja.
The Chief Imam of the National Mosque Abuja, Ustaz Musa Mohammed led other Muslim clerics to pray for the repose of the soul of the departed and also for Allah’s mercies and blessings to be showered on those that he had left behind. Prayers were also offered for continued peace, progress and development of the country.
The prayer session was graced by several dignitaries including the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Alhaji Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, Kaduna State Governor, Alhaji Mukhtar Ramalan Yero, former military President General Ibrahim Babangida, Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator Anyim Pius Anyim, as well as the Chairman of the PDP, Alhaji Adamu Mu’azu. Others were State Governors, Federal Executive Council members, security chiefs, Federal and State legislatures, captains of industry, Royal fathers and several other sympathizers.
Vice President Sambo being the chief mourner has been receiving sympathizers from across the country and beyond, who came to offer their condolences at his official residence at Aguda House, Presidential Villa, Abuja.
Late Capt Sambo, who died at the age of 58 y, left behind his wife Hajiya Jummai and three daughters. He also left behind ten brothers and sisters, including the Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Arc Mohammed Namadi Sambo.
