Job Title: Security and Anti-Counterfeit Manager

Our client is a global Pharmaceutical. The Nigerian office has decided to start the search for a Security and Anti-Counterfeit Manager.
Reporting: GM, (Regional Security Director on technical and policy)
PURPOSE: To advice, co-ordinate and implement action plans on a range of security issues for which the job holder has direct accountabilities by effectively utilizing internal and external resources as appropriate.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
• Advise the GM on security strategies and plan mitigation measures to protect personnel and business operations.
• Be responsible for physical security operations in Nigeria and other North East Africa (NEA) countries as determined.
• Be responsible for anti-counterfeit actions in Nigeria and NEA countries as determined.
• Follow security guidelines in providing people protection (PEVAC, business travellers, expatriates, local employees), asset protection, information management, anti-counterfeiting, as detailed in the attached Job Profile.
• Perform local protocol and movement logistics operations
Additional Information:
Decision making – Accountabilities;
• Prompt resolution of all security issues raised or identified. Up to date contact details of all relevant security agencies.
• Basic understanding of company guidelines by security reports and other company employees. Feedback from stakeholders elicits satisfactory responses
• Carry out periodic security reviews to ensure all security activities adhere to group and company policies
• Prompt and effective response to all emergency situations and remedial actions taken to mitigate loss.
• Provide periodic reports on crime trends and develop appropriate counter measures
• Prompt and detailed security reports and maintenance of appropriate data to inform decision making.
• Liaise with Competent Authorities to protect the company’s interests.
• Detailed security review submitted and signed off
• Detailed and satisfactory information regarding utilization of all allocated resources in place.
Role Related Expertise at selection – Qualifications, skills and knowledge required:
• Preferably a Degree in Security Management, Criminal Justice or related fields.
• Must have at least 5 years’ experience in a supervisory or management position in police or military security operations; additional experience in private sector security is a distinct advantage.
• Possession of specialized skills in coping with threats in a hostile environment, such as hostage negotiation, journey management, emergency evacuation procedures, designing security protection and alarm systems, are highly sought after.
• Demonstrated knowledge of the security environment in Nigeria and ability to liaise with competent authorities, including in anti-counterfeiting investigations are prerequisites.
• Ability to work with stakeholders in private sector and civil society organizations to strengthen networking to safeguard the company’s interests is required.

• A high level of decision making, objectivity, creativity & Integrity
• Has strong people skills
• Excellent Interpersonal & leadership skills are also required
• Sound IT knowledge/skills to generate operate and run reports in the following packages word perfect, excel and power point
• Due to the peculiar nature of the Security function, it is imperative that the jobholder can adapt to changes as and when necessary
• Possession of a valid driving permit is a necessity.
