It’s been over 100 days since President Muhammadu Buhari left Nigeria for London to treat an undisclosed ailment.
President Buhari’s return to Nigeria would be determined by his doctors in the United Kingdom, everyone has chorused since his departure.
Meanwhile, some Niger Delta Youths on Wednesday, August 16, 2017, took to the streets of Abuja to declare their ‘total support’ for President Buhari.
“The entire Niger Delta supports President Buhari,” “PDP stop anti-Buhari protest,” “Benin youths support President Buhari,” read inscriptions on their placards.
Leader of the group, Young Preye told Pulse that the protest for President Buhari’s resignation was a being sponsored by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
“Nigerians should stop politicizing President Buhari’s illness because anybody can fall ill. The president has done the needful by handing over to his vice, Professor Yemi Osinbajo. All he needs now is our support and prayers not this PDP sponsored protest for his resumption or resignation,” he said.
