Abia State Governor, Alex Otti, has commended the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for conducting a hitch-free governorship election in Anambra State on Saturday.
Otti gave the commendation in his congratulatory message to Governor Chukwuma Soludo on his re-election, noting that allowing the people to freely choose their leaders through the ballot remains the best way to deepen Nigeria’s democracy.
He also lauded INEC for the timely announcement of the election results, describing Soludo’s landslide victory as a reflection of the confidence the people of Anambra have in his leadership.
The governor urged Soludo to consolidate on his achievements from his first term and extend an olive branch to his opponents in the election.
According to him, such a gesture would help build a stronger, development-oriented synergy that ensures inclusive governance and collective progress in Anambra State.
