Chelsea defender Marc Cucurella has said that the Blues lacked experience against PSG. He recently had his say while speaking to the press, and fans have been reacting.
Stressing that Chelsea failed to keep a cool head when it mattered most, Marc noted that he and his teammates should have handled such a crucial match better.

Cucurella added that he believes the current international break will end up helping Chelsea this season.
His words, “We lacked experience. For a lot of players, it was the first time playing a match of that calibre, and we paid the price.
You can always make a mistake, but we should have handled it better. There was a return game to play, and if you keep a cool head, you go back to London with a 3-2 defeat (the score with five minutes left of normal time in the first leg) and anything can happen.
We made a mistake, tried to attack without a clear structure and then PSG took the chance and proved they have that cutting edge.
Coming to the national team is a breath of fresh air for everyone.
Sometimes it feels like the games we have to play are not even the most important thing — you just want to spend time with these people.
We have created such strong relationships that the week passes by before you can even realise.
Sometimes, if you’re in good form, an international break can kill your momentum a bit. But this one will do us (Chelsea) well at club level.”
WOW.
Chelsea Football Club is an English professional football club based in Fulham, West London. Founded in 1905, they play their home games at Stamford Bridge.
The club competes in the Premier League, the top division of English football. They won their first major honour, the League championship, in 1955. The club won the FA Cup for the first time in 1970, their first European honour, the Cup Winners’ Cup, in 1971, and became the third English club to win the Club World Cup in 2022.
On 7 May 2022, Chelsea confirmed that terms have been agreed for a new ownership group, led by Todd Boehly, Clearlake Capital, Mark Walter and Hansjörg Wyss, to acquire the club. The group was later known as BlueCo.
The UK government approved the £4.25bn takeover, ending Abramovich’s 19-year ownership of the club. Bruce Buck, who served as chairman since 2003, was replaced by Boehly, while long-serving club director and de facto sporting director Marina Granovskaia left, as did Petr Čech from the role of technical and performance advisor.
