Operatives of the Ondo State Security Network Agency, popularly known as Amotekun Corps, have arrested two suspected kidnappers and armed robbers in the state.
The Corps Commander, Adetunji Adeleye, disclosed this while parading the suspects at the agency’s headquarters in Alagbaka, Akure.
Adeleye said the suspects were apprehended in Owo, headquarters of Owo Local Government Area, adding that other arrests were made within the Oloko axis of Akure metropolis during a week-long clearance operation.

He noted that the arrests were carried out through joint operations involving various security agencies in the state.
According to him, a total of 164 suspects were paraded, with several stolen items recovered. He said 144 suspects were arrested for breaches of law and order, while other cases included one rape case, 15 cases of human trafficking, and one violation of the state’s anti-open grazing law.
Providing further details, the Amotekun commander said one suspect identified as Godwin was arrested over alleged murder and rape.
He added that another suspect, Azeez, 30, was apprehended for alleged arson and escape from lawful custody, alongside others identified as Ademola, Imole, and Japhet, aged between 26 and 32, who were arrested for offences ranging from conspiracy and abduction to assault on security personnel.
Adeleye further disclosed that Emmanuel, 38, and Ibrahim, 20, were arrested for conspiracy, breach of peace, and possession of stolen motorcycles.
He also said two other suspects, Emeri and Moses, were apprehended for allegedly aiding human trafficking and defrauding unsuspecting victims in Akure.
