Former England captain Wayne Rooney has delivered a scathing assessment of the first-ever World Cup final halftime show. He recently revealed that he was unimpressed by the star-studded spectacle at MetLife Stadium, which featured popular singers like Madonna, Shakira, and Justin Bieber.
Admitting that he couldn’t wait for the music to stop, Rooney criticized the inaugural World Cup final halftime show, stressing that the extended break did little to entertain him.

Wayne added that his favourite part of the World Cup halftime show was when it ended.
His words, “I’ll be honest, mine was when it finished.
I like a lot of them artists but I thought it was crap. It just didn’t get me going and I wanted the football to come back on.
I like Burna Boy, I like Bieber, I like Shakira, but that was too flat.”
Roy Keane added, “It was a bit of an anti-climax, but I think the people in the stadium probably enjoyed it more than us.”
