Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde has reportedly declared that he would serve as president for four years if elected in the 2027 general elections.
The governor made the statement while addressing participants at a North-East meeting of the Allied Peoples Movement (APM), where discussions centred on political developments and preparations for the next general elections.

Makinde’s reported pledge comes amid growing political consultations and realignments as parties and prospective candidates position themselves for the 2027 presidential contest.
