Adamawa Group Welcomes Impeachment Notice On Nyako

governor_murtala_nyakoA group known as the Save Adamawa State Movement (SASM) has described the impeachment notice served on Governor Murtala Nyako and his deputy, James Bala Ngilari by the State House of Assembly, as a welcome development.

In a press statement issued in Abuja on Wednesday, SASM noted that all the facts adduced by the legislators are key issues its members have been raising on the governor for about two years now.

Acting national coordinator of the group, Dr. Pally Poga, said his group had resorted to court action to let the whole world know of Nyako’s misrule.

“We had called for his resignation and or impeachment times and over before now. Now that the gross maladministration, overbearing family and friends governance have weigh heavily on the citizens, we applaud the bold steps taken by the members of the Adamawa State House of Assembly”, Poga said.

He commended the legislators in carrying out what he described as a noble cause and therefore urged the members of the House of Assembly to remain focused and resolute to the course of salvaging the already battered state.
