Omoyele Sowore, presidential candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC), has criticised Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke over his alleged support for President Bola Tinubu.
Sowore accused Adeleke of endorsing Tinubu as part of a political arrangement that, according to him, could extend the current administration’s influence beyond the 2027 general elections.

He made the allegation while reacting to developments surrounding the Osun governorship election and the political activities of major parties and their leaders.
The AAC chieftain argued that political alliances should be assessed based on their implications for the country rather than short-term electoral interests.
Sowore also criticised what he described as the growing alignment between politicians who ordinarily belong to opposing political camps.
He urged Nigerians to scrutinise the positions and alliances of political leaders ahead of the 2027 elections and make decisions based on issues affecting the country.
The former presidential candidate maintained that Nigeria needed political leaders committed to addressing insecurity, economic hardship, unemployment and other challenges confronting citizens.
He called on Nigerians to remain politically active and resist what he described as attempts to perpetuate existing political structures.
Sowore further urged opposition groups and citizens seeking political change to strengthen their organisations and mobilise ahead of the 2027 general elections.
