Kano State Governor, Mr Abdullahi Ganduje has blasted those doubting Buhari’s overwhelming victory against Atiku Abubakar in Kano State.
Abdullahi Ganduje addressed them as “unserious” and “anti-democratic” people.
According to INEC, Buhari received 1,464,768 votes in Kano alone, defeating Atiku who got 391,593, to emerge the winner in the state.
The large gap brought about murmurings that the Kano votes might have been inflated to favor the incumbent President, Buhari.
As a reaction, Ganduje has questioned why anyone would think that.
His words, “First of all, they are not serious people; they are people who are anti-democracy.
“If you had seen how the elections were conducted, I think everybody would agree that INEC tried very well. Even though there was low turnout of voters because we were expecting to get much more than that, but the elections were fair and free.
“Those who say we couldn’t have got that much are ignorant of the politics of Kano.”
He boasted that the win for Buhari was a good sign for the All Progressives Congress ahead of the March 9 governorship poll.
