Rivers State Governor, Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi has said that All Progressive Congress Party (APC) does not exists on posters and billboards.
The Governor said this at the Governor’s celebration of the seventh year anniversary of the Supreme Court judgment and APC mega rally at the new Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium, Greater Port Harcourt city recently in Port Harcourt.
According to Amaechi ‘‘I just want to test my popularity by organizing this rally, they have made too much noise, the President says that the APC exists only on posters and bill boards so we brought the crowd for him to see.’’
He reiterated that since the inception of his administration, the State has witnessed great transformation in building of schools, roads, hospitals, power and agriculture.
“We have built schools of which 500 are ready for use, we also have built over 140 health centres and employed 13, 200 teachers. We employed 100 doctors and pharmacists, created farm for employment, the Songhai and Banana farm in Tai LGA.”
The Governor thanked God and all those that have stood by him assuring them that the struggle to fight for the rights of the people remain a quest he would pursue to victory advising them also to use their votes against any candidate with questionable character.
In his speech the National Chairman APC, Chief John Oyegun ‘‘the President had at the transformation Ambassador of Nigeria (TAN) rally in Benin, two weeks ago claimed that the APC in Rivers State exists only on billboards, we have seen that APC is in charge of Rivers State.’’
Also speaking Former Head of State, General Mohammadu Buhari congratulated Governor Amaechi on his giant strides in the State.
Former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar urged the people to vote for APC.
Governor Rochas Okorocha of Imo State in his speech stated that the vision of the APC is to project the best candidate who would not be driven by religious or ethnic interest but to move the nation forward.
