The Allied Peoples Movement (APM) in Osun State has condemned the unveiling of the new state logo by the state government, describing it as a misallocation of taxpayer funds.
Wale Adebayo, the party’s chairman, criticized the initiative, likening it to attempting to climb a tree from the top.
Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, recently signed a bill introducing the new logo for the state, a move that has sparked controversy.

The governor hailed the new symbol as a representation of the state’s rebirth, aligning with its history, anthem, values, and tradition.
However, Adebayo expressed dissatisfaction with the development, stating, “We at the APM align with the critical mass of the state to say we are not impressed with the new logo project.
It’s simply a waste of taxpayers’ money.”
He emphasized the need for leadership that focuses on transforming lives, providing employment opportunities, and addressing citizens’ concerns, rather than cosmetic changes like a new logo.
Adebayo stressed that quality leadership should prioritize actions and policies that positively impact people’s lives, addressing core issues such as poverty, unemployment, and poor infrastructure.
