A journalist, Famous Giobaro was on Sunday, April 16, shot dead by unknown gunmen. The victim, who worked at the state-owned Glory FM 97.1, was reportedly killed in his house. A new political party, Action Democratic Party, have reportedly paid the mandatory N1m registration fee to the Independent National Electoral Commission. According to a report by Punch Newspaper, the new political party paid the registration fee in January 2017 in preparedness ahead of the 2019 general elections. Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara, has urged INEC, to activate the process of delineation of federal constituencies in accordance with provisions of the 1999 Constitution.
