A Kano State High Court on Wednesday sentenced a man, identified as Ibrahim Sale, to six years in imprisonment for gross indecency in assaulting an 8-year-old girl. The man, who resides at Darmanawa Quarters, Kano, was arraigned on a three-count charge of criminal conspiracy; as well as rape and act of gross indecency. It was gathered that the 12-year-old was rescued during a routine security patrol in the North Central State. Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi Corp overtook Apple Inc in the second quarter to become the world’s No. 2 smartphone maker; market research firm Canalys said in a report. Apple took the Fakespot review app off its App Store on Friday; after it received a complaint from Amazon that said Fakespot inaccurately detects bad sellers and fake write-ups on its store.
