Huawei’s next flagship phone, the P50, is set for launch on July 29th, the company has announced via its Weibo and Twitter accounts. A Kano State High Court on Wednesday sentenced a man, identified as Ibrahim Sale, to six years in imprisonment for gross indecency in assaulting an 8-year-old girl. The man, who resides at Darmanawa Quarters, Kano, was arraigned on a three-count charge of criminal conspiracy; as well as rape and act of gross indecency. The presiding Judge, Justice Usman Na’abba, held that the prosecution did not prove their case beyond reasonable doubt; notably on the allegation of rape. “There was no evidence of penetration tendered before the court,” he said. Officials of the Nigerian Immigration Service have rescued a 12-year-old kidnapped victim in Kwara State. It was gathered that the 12-year-old was rescued during a routine security patrol in the North Central State. Officials of the Nigerian Immigration Service had stopped the vehicle which was conveying a coffin and the people inside the vehicle escaped into the bush but a little opening found on the coffin gave them out. Chinese smartphone maker Xiaomi Corp overtook Apple Inc in the second quarter to become the world’s No. 2 smartphone maker; market research firm Canalys said in a report. Apple took the Fakespot review app off its App Store on Friday; after it received a complaint from Amazon that said Fakespot inaccurately detects bad sellers and fake write-ups on its store.
