The Nigerian Government through the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) has evacuated 1,277 Nigerians who were stranded in the raging Central African Republic crisis to home safety. According to a report from the agency, the first batch of evacuees arrived at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport in Abuja on Friday, the 3rd of January 2014; while the second and third batches arrived on Saturday 4th and Sunday 5th.
