The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) says Frenchman, Paul Le Guen did not agree to the terms offered him to become the next technical adviser/head coach of the Super Eagles. On Monday night, the official website of the NFF reported that Le Guen had been named as the new Super Eagles helmsman by the technical and development committee of the football federation. The Federal High Court, Abuja, on Monday granted the former Governor of Imo, Ikedi Ohakim permission to travel abroad for medical treatment. Vacation judge, Justice Nnamdi Dimgba granted the permission following an application made by Ohakim’s counsel Mr Gordy Uche (SAN). Uche had, in the application, asked the court to release the passport of Ohakim to allow him travel abroad for routine medical check up. President Muhammadu Buhari has ordered the Inspector-General of Police, Ibrahim Idris, to reopen investigations into the 2001 murder of former Attorney-General of the Federation, Chief Bola Ige. Ige was shot dead on December 23 by yet unknown gunmen in his Ibadan, Oyo State home after his security guards took permission to go and eat. The Jigawa Government has released N1.16 billion for the commencement of the104 kilometres Baturiya-Yelwa-Abonabo road project in the state. Gov. Abubakar Badaru told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Monday in Dutse that the money was paid to CGC, the construction firm handling the project. He disclosed that the project was awarded by the immediate past administration at the cost N11.5 billion but was later abandoned. The Nigeria Union of Petroleum and Natural Gas Workers (NUPENG) on Monday urged the Federal Government to come out with a clear policy on kerosene.
