Four students of the Federal University of Technology, Akure, died in a road accident on the Akure-Ilesha expressway in Ifedore Local Government Area of Ondo State on Saturday. The spokesman of the Police Command in Ondo State, Mr Femi Joseph, confirmed the incident and said that 11 others sustained various degrees of injuries. The Oyo State Government has urged its workers to back out of the strike called by the Ayuba Wabba-led NLC while expressing support for the deregulation of the downstream sector of the petroleum industry. The Lagos State Government on Sunday expressed its readiness to build a DNA Forensic Laboratory within 15 months. The state Commissioner for Science and Technology, Mr Olufemi Odubiyi, made the disclosure at the ministerial briefing marking the one year anniversary of Gov. Akinwunmi Ambode.
