The Supreme Court has given the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) permission to try former Abia State Governor, Orji Uzor Kalu on corruption charges. The decision was announced by Justice Suleiman Galadima today, March 18, 2016. Kalu has been accused of participating in the laundering of N5.6 billion in public funds.
