The national leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has appointed a Screening Committee for the 2021 Anambra governorship election. The team will conduct the exercise in line with the provisions of the party’s constitution and guidelines for the nomination of candidates. John Akpan Udoedehe, National Secretary, Caretaker/Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee (CECPC) made the announcement on Wednesday. Fifty-eight people have been killed during anti-government protests that began in Colombia five weeks ago and have also led to roadblocks and clashes with police, the country’s human rights ombudsman said Monday. The Ogun State Independent Electoral Commission (OGSIEC) has given reasons why it would not conduct elections into the 37 Local Council Development Areas created by former Governor, Ibikunle Amosun.
