The Oyo State Government has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with a Chinese firm, CCECC for the construction of a light rail transport system covering about 24 kilometres within Ibadan, the State capital. Oyo State Government has commenced payment of compensation to property owners whose property were affected by the dualization of roads in the State. The state Commissioner for Lands Housing and Survey, Mr. Isaac Omodewu stated this while addressing the press at the Governor’s Office Agodi Ibadan.
