Ten more people have been killed in a cholera outbreak has claimed 10 more lives in five communities of Ezza North Local Government Area and Ozibo village in Ebonyi L.G.A of Ebonyi state. About 30 people have now been killed in the outbreak which started in February this year when the first outbreak was recorded in Edomia village in Ebonyi L.G.A of the state. Other victims of the disease are currently receiving treatment in hospitals in the area. Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, has directed the accountant general of the state to pay pensioners their three months’ arrears of salaries owed them by the past administration. Wike, while giving the directive on Thursday, said it was callous and insensitive to owe pensioners who had served the state creditably.
