The Judiciary Staff Union of Nigeria (JUSUN) in Nasarawa State has suspended its four months old strike after it entered an agreement that culminated in the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Nasarawa State Government. The new Police Commissioner for Ekiti State, Etop John James, on Tuesday pledged to restore peace in the state, as kidnappings among other crisis continue in the state. James was named the new commissioner of police in the state barely 48 hours after Gov. Babangida Aliyu to settle their severance allowance amounting to N1.74 billion. The Kogi State Government on Monday reversed its earlier decision to slash workers’ salaries by 60 per cent. The Chairman of the state chapter of the NLC, Onu Edoka, announced this to newsmen in Lokoja after a meeting with a government delegation.
