An official of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), was Monday beaten to stupor by two Nigerian Air Force officers in charge of traffic control at the departure section of the international terminal wing of Murtala Muhammed Airport, Lagos. The police on Monday put 259 specially designated “Safer Highway Patrol Vehicles” to work nationwide. They are to replace the road blocks abrogated by the new Inspector General of Police Solomon Arase. Arase launched the 259 patrol vehicles at the Force headquarters. He said they have been customised to specific states. An Ebute Meta Chief Magistrates’ Court in Lagos on Monday remanded one Lucky Nnaeto, 33, at the Ikoyi Prisons’ custody for allegedly causing the death of one 39-year-old Tunde Odutola.
