The Federal Road Safety Commission, FRSC, has ordered drivers in Kogi to remove the extra headlights on their vehicles or face prosecution. The Sector Commander of FRSC in the State, Godwin Omiko, told journalists in Lokoja on Sunday that owners should also affix reflective tapes on their vehicles. Mr. Omiko said this had become necessary in order to improve the visibility of drivers especially in the nights. The Bama Development Foundation said on Sunday that it had registered 180,000 Internally Displaced Persons, IDPs, from Bama taking refuge in Maiduguri. Mohammed Hassan, the chairman of the foundation, stated this at a news conference in Maiduguri. Mr. Hassan said that the IDPs were in four camps in Maiduguri. Scores have been reported killed by gunmen suspected to be Fulani mercenaries, following an attack on Digan Dogo in Kadarko community of Keana Local Government Area of Nasarawa State, Saturday morning.
