The Nigerian Prison Service has commenced an investigation into the attempted jailbreak on Friday at the Medium Security Prison Kirikiri, Lagos, in which an inmate died. The Public Relations Officer for the NPS, Mr. Ope Fatinikun, on Saturday, stated that the Acting Comptroller-General of Prisons, Aminu Suley, had set up a probe panel to investigate the remote and immediate causes behind the riot. Lagos State budget has achieved an 86 per cent performance in the third quarter. This is the aggregate of the budget between January and September this year.
