Lagos State budget has achieved an 86 per cent performance in the third quarter.
This is the aggregate of the budget between January and September this year.
This was disclosed by Governor Babatunde Fashola at the Lagos House, Alausa, Ikeja on Friday after a review of the 2014 budget.
The governor said 84 per cent performance was recorded for the third quarter; July to September.
He said, “More capital projects were handled during the third quarter compare with those undertaken in the same period last year. Anyway, there is room for further improvement.
“More than 11,000 unemployed youths who were trained in soap making during the quarter, supplied all the commodity distributed to public schools as part of the Ebola prevention initiative”.
Fashola noted that for the first time, an 84 per cent performance was recorded from federal transfers.
