The PDP in a statement by its Secretary, Mr. Keku Godspower, yesterday, criticized the choice of Sylva, saying that it meant that the APC is not prepared for any serious outing at the election. The Rivers State Governorship Election Petitions Tribunal on Friday heard the testimony of two senior police officers, an Assistant Commissioner of Police and former Area Command of Bori Zonal Police Command in Rivers State, Mr. Akuki Kenneth, and a Chief Superintendent of Police, CSP, Uche Mike Chukwuma. Suspected Boko Haram members have reportedly detonated Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) at the Kuje market and a Police station, about 40 km south west of central Abuja. The Federal Government on Friday received the report of a 13-member committee it set up in August to come up with a document on the establishment of a national carrier.
