Edo State Governor, Adams Oshiomole, on Friday has played the deviant one by advising ilk of jet owners to start auctioning their private jets. The advice comes as an addition after making emphasis on the recent drastic measure taken by President Mohammadu Buhari against financial leakages in the country.
In a lecture titled, ‘Labour and the Nigerian Economy: What Needs to be Done’, the former labour congress statesman did not fail to pass a remark on the need to start the cleansing from the within, largely making emphasis on politicians to sell off their private jet.
In his speech, he earmarked that corrupt officials who went in connivance with bad eggs of NNPC will be probed and will face due penalty of the Nigerian Constitution on such evil perpetration.
Giving a reaction to the spate on which private jets are owned these days, he says,
“A clear example is when you arrive at the private wing of the airport in Abuja, you will find more than 40 to 50 private jets parked there in one airport alone. The question is what sources do these private jets owners get their wealth from….”
