At least 24 people, including 14 suspected Boko Haram terrorists have been killed in separate attacks in Gwoza, Biu and Konduga Local Government Areas of Borno State Monday.
13 people including four terrorists were killed in an attack on a church by Boko Haram at Attagara village in Gwoza Local Government Area of Borno State, police source and fleeing resident told Vanguard.
Also in Gwoshe town of Gwoza, suspected members of the Boko Haram Sunday morning burnt down several houses, shops and two churches.
This is even as military patrol troops have successfully repelled an ambush in Buratai community in Biu town, killing four terrorists and capturing one alive.
Police source said some armed men stormed a church at Attangara village and opened fire on worshippers while Sunday service was going on at about 9.30am, killing nine people, adding that the community also mobilised and succeeded in killing four of the attackers. [Vanguard]
