“The Boko Members attacked Dille and killed 45 persons,” a local vigilante told journalists on Wednesday.
The terrorists had attacked the mainly Christian community and started shooting at every possible target.
Meanwhile, about 20 persons have been killed following an attack on Sabon Gari, Damboa Local Government Area of the state, by Boko Haram insurgents on Tuesday evening.
Seven others who were said to have attempted to bury their dead relatives in the Sabon Gari graveyard were also killed on Wednesday morning as the insurgents came back again, Thisday reports, citing sources.
Boko Haram has been unleashing terror on the country’s northeast, with thousands of death recorded in the past one year. The sect wants an Islamic state and says western education is sin. Although Borno State and two other north east states, Adamawa and Yobe are under emergency rule, attacks by the sect continue, with deaths now recorded almost on a daily basis.
