Boko Haram has wreaked havoc again in Yobe State, as three civil servants were slaughtered and 5 women abducted in Gujba local government area of the state at about 6pm Friday.
The civil servants, victims of the attack, had travelled to Damaturu, the state capital to withdraw their monthly salary since there was no functional bank nor ATM in Gujba town due to the activities of Boko Haram which had paralaysed economic activities in the area.
Gujba local government has come under several attack by the insurgents in recent time some of which is the killing of many students at the College of Agriculture Gujba, and also that of federal Government college.
Scores of people have also been slaughtered on the road linking Gujba to Borno state.
According to a family of one of the victims, one of the survivors that ran into the bush said that Boko Haram members waylaid them at the gate of College of Agriculture Gujba.
Initially they thought they were soldiers because they were putting on soldiers trousers but it dawned on them when they were stopped and ordered out of the vehicle and asked to lay down on the road.
They were robbed and 3 of them were slaughtered before they ran into the bush with about 5 women, the family of one of the deceased said.
