Ex-Vice President, Atiku Abubakar and the ex-Governor of Lagos State, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, are set to contest for the chairman of the All Progressive Congress’ Board of Trustees.
According to a report by Daily Trust, members of the Board of Trustees, BoT, are already preparing to cast their votes as they elect a new Chairman.
It was gathered that the members of the BoT would use the opportunity of meeting at the APC National Secretariat in Abuja to elect both the chairman and secretary of the Board.
Also joining the candidates vying for the seat is an APC chieftain in Abia State and former National Chairman of the Progressives Peoples Alliance (PPA), Chief Sam Nkire.
However, the first interim National Chairman of the party, Chief Bisi Akande, might have reportedly dropped his ambition of becoming the BoT chairman.
After the emergence of the BoT chairman, a meeting of the party’s national caucus is expected to hold on Tuesday, March 22, 2016.
