MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA–(Marketwired – Feb 11, 2014) – Boundary has successfully recruited Mark Rivington to own Product Management as demand heats up for cloud-based consolidated operations management software. Rivington, who was Nimsoft CTO at CA Technologies, has played leading technical roles in a number of major Systems and Performance management software companies including Candle, BMC, Nimsoft and CA Technologies. He joins Boundary at a time of rapid growth. A pioneer in consolidated operations management software, Boundary now has over 1000 users and 45 employees, up from 300 and 28 respectively a year ago.
Rivington will apply his 37 years of experience in the IT industry and be responsible for ensuring that the Boundary solution consistently matches the market and customers’ requirements and continues to bring outstanding value to the client. Boundary’s SaaS offering combines third-party alerts and events with real-time application flow and dynamic topology data, offering IT operations professionals an unprecedented view into the health of their environments.
“Up until now the IT operations management market has been dominated by legacy software vendors, but many of these tools were not designed to handle modern cloud architected applications,” said Rivington. “Having visited hundreds of customers in recent years it is obvious to see many enterprises have a cloud first mentality and they have moved on from the old models of software delivery. These companies demand IT agility to match their customer and market needs and are adopting the cloud first mantra.”
“Boundary is clearly the leader with its SaaS deployment combined with real-time one second monitoring (an industry unique) making it an obvious choice to join Boundary and lead the Product direction towards even more value for the our clients,” said Gary Read, CEO at Boundary. “Mark brings a combination of customer smarts with a technology depth you rarely see. He is able to discuss value at the board level just minutes after rolling up his sleeves and assisting a customer in architecting their application. We are excited about 2014 and the next phase of the company.”
