Ayo Fayose has approved a death sentence for cultists.
Fayose signed the bill prohibiting cultism and terrorism into law, yesterday.
The Governor said the step is a show of his government’s commitment to fight terrorism in the state.
Fayose also said that any building where cult activities are carried out will be forfeited to the government and the owners, sentenced to five years imprisonment without fine.
“Any person who gives financial or material support or assistance to a secret cult or in any manner sponsor the activities of a secret cult, commits an offence under this law and is liable for conviction to imprisonment for life.
“Buildings where any cult-related activity is held will be forfeited to the government.”
