Senate President, Bukola Saraki, Kwara State Governor, Abdulfatah Ahmed and APC governorship candidate in Kwara State, Mr Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, all emerged victorious at their polling units at the governorship and state House of Assembly elections held yesterday.
For the governorship election, Bukola Saraki was a winner in his Polling Unit 006 at Ajikobi Ward, Ilorin West Local Government Area for the the PDP with 253 votes, while APC got 125 votes.
In the state House of Assembly election, PDP polled 257 votes while APC got 118 votes.
APC also clinched victory with 573 votes in the state House of Assembly election while PDP got 80 votes.
Bukola Saraki pinned the blame for low turnout from voters on the increased security presence.
He also revealed his anger at faulty card readers at some polling units.
However, APC governorship candidate in Kwara State, Mr Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, Abdulrazaq disagreed with Saraki over the tight security for the polls.
His words, “The security officials worked very well. They were not enough, but those who were deployed worked hard.”
