An as-yet-unnamed Chinese Super League club is set to make a mega-money offer to Real Madrid and Ronaldo, according to Spanish outlet AS.
The report states that the Chinese club is prepared to offer Madrid €200 million for the signature of their talisman, and can offer the 32-year-old wages of €120 million a season.
Senior executives from the unnamed club reportedly will fly to Madrid next week to meet with Madrid president Florentino Perez and negotiate what’s said to be a concrete offer.
However, the Spanish outlet reports that it’s all but impossible that Madrid would allow Ronaldo to leave, citing the player’s importance to the club, which has won three Champions League trophies in the past four seasons.
In January, agent Jorge Mendes told Sky Sports Italia that his client had already rejected a move to China, one that would have paid the Portugal captain €105m a season.
