Adewale Giwa, the senior pastor of Awaiting The Second Coming Of Christ Ministry, expressed concern on Sunday over the deteriorating economic situation in Nigeria under President Bola Tinubu’s leadership.
Giwa lamented that bad leaders were deliberately making life miserable for Nigerians, noting that the country had already endured a difficult period under former President Muhammadu Buhari.
Speaking with media outlets, Giwa criticized Buhari’s statement that Nigerians would appreciate his administration after he left office, suggesting that this prophecy was now being fulfilled under Tinubu’s government.

He remarked, “The success of a nation is determined by the kind of leaders you have. When the biblical Jeroboam became leader of Israel, he led people to sin, and we all know what happened.”
Giwa questioned why Nigeria’s situation seemed to worsen under new leadership, emphasizing the impact of subsidy removal on citizens’ livelihoods.
He argued that Tinubu’s government had not fared better than Buhari’s, especially regarding fuel prices.
“In all fairness and considering the present events, the current political leaders are intentionally making the lives of Nigerians miserable,” Giwa concluded.
